God knows why, but I honestly think he didn't have a clue after 5 minutes and / or he's getting it in the ear from what-is-name at VAR, so he's sent off Soucek as the default option and is leaving it up to the FA to rescind.

Why he would do this twice in a week and make himself look like a double massive cunt though is more baffling still.

Dean reputation should have no influence on the rescind. Its whether the Old Boys Club FA support him or not. I think the bad publicity will force the FAs hand .

West Ham v Man Utd. a couple of years ago. Sofiane Feghouli has the ball. Oafish Phil Jones (how did this idiot ever play for England) comes charging in and completely misses the ball and dangerously brings down Feghouli. Jones then rolls around on the floor feigning he's been fouled. Mike Dean sends off Feghouli. Man Utd. win the game. Feghouli is found to be the innocent party and the red card is rescinded. No action is taken against Jones retrospectively. (Although i think Man Utd's punishment was that Jones would be available for the next game)

Yesterday Dean sends off another West Ham player in dubious circumstances. And guess who they are playing next game

Did Dean feel compelled to support Mason? Could well be, because Mason should never have referred it in the first place.

Given the overwhelming negative response to this, it’s got to be overturned hasn’t it?

Unless as usual with West Ham they choose this moment to dig their heels in and announce they have to support the referees and their decisions. (I.e. it was wrong but we are making a political point because West Ham don’t matter, and oh coincidentally it gives Man U a greater chance of getting far in the cup ker-chinnnnng)

But we concede and look terrible when he brings on Yarmo,Noble and Fredericks. That's my point. he could of easily brought on Mipo and Johnson and they would of done better against Villa plus yesterday. We have 5 defenders on the bench plus Noble,who I don't where he plays now. (like somone else said i really like Noble but we have been poorer everytime he has played ) If you don't try something different you end up playing Yarmolenko across the top 4 where he's not helping out enough.

It's been said Dean looked at this incident 23 times, to me that screams out that there is an element of doubt in his mind that it is intentional. If anything Mitrovic shoves Soucek first and that's a penalty. Oh silly me we don't get penalties do we. As you Dean you plum!
